Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Color in "Blush Essence" & Super Stay 14hr Lipstick in "Perpetual Peony": Review and Swatches

Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review.

Hey guys, today I have a couple of lip products from Maybelline to share with y'all. The first one is a Color Elixir Lip Color in "Blush Essence" and the second is a Super Stay 14hr Lipstick in "Perpetual Peony". To see some swatches and my review, click......
The new Color Elixir by Color Sensational from Maybelline promises to deliver the pigmentation of a lipstick, the conditioning and moisture of a balm, and the shine of a gloss.
"Blush Essence" is a very sheer warm petal pink. I was quite disappointed with the pigmentation. Despite the light color, I would have expected a bit more pigmentation but this one is very sheer, not much different from an ordinary lipgloss.
The formulation is also not the greatest. The Color Elixir felt very heavy, it's not comfortable and weightless, which are properties I prefer in a gloss.
So unfortunately I think this particular shade is a miss. I believe the darker shades have more pigmentation but with that said, though moisturizing, the Color Elixir feels very thick and heavy.
Next up is the Super Stay 14hr Lipstick. So when I first saw this product my initial reaction was confusion. How can an ordinary lipstick be super long lasting? Well, the Super Stay 14hr Lipstick is no ordinary lipstick. Upon application the product turns quite creamy and soft but after some seconds the lipstick sort of "sets", somewhat like liquid lipsticks. Though it is still transferrable, this lipstick clings to the lips.
The formula isn't particularly moisturizing but I think the long staying power counterbalances that shortcoming though the 14 hour claim might be a bit exaggerated. This color stays around five or six hours and that is quite impressive with a color this light.
The color "Blush Essence" is a cool tone light pink, I am very intrigued to try out some of the darker red shades, which most likely lasts even longer!
So overall, the Color Elixir is for those looking for a cushion-y moisturizing lip gloss while the Super Stay lipstick is best for those looking for pigmentation and longevity.
Have you guys tried either of these products? Are you interested in trying them? Let me know in the comments below!
